In the Kingdom of Greenia, nature fuels magic — but in the small town of Grassville, pollution and neglect have weakened the flow of this energy. Players take on the roles of four specialist archetypes — the Guardian, Innovator, Harmoniser, and Cultivator — tasked with restoring balance by rebuilding the local ecosystem, solving environmental challenges, and confronting forces that profit from unsustainable practices.
Blending narrative roleplay with simple mechanics, 'Greenia' offers an immersive experience where collective action leads to magical renewal. Through community initiatives, green innovation, conflict resolution, and hands-on restoration, players gradually increase the town’s Nature Score — unlocking more powerful spells as nature begins to thrive once again.
This is a story-driven game that integrates social values with world-building and mechanics, featuring character creation, a simple dice system, one-shot scenarios, spellcasting rules, and detailed sustainability challenges.
ROLES
Game Creator, Lead Game Designer, and Writer:
I conceived 'Greenia' as a game that could meaningfully integrate sustainability education into roleplay.
Inspired by real-world ecological issues, I developed the core game mechanics — including the Nature Score system, sustainability actions, and spellcasting rules — and wrote all gameplay scenarios, character abilities, and world lore.
I prioritised accessibility and collaborative storytelling, making sure players of all experience levels could explore environmental topics through creative gameplay.
Game Tester:
I conducted multiple testing sessions to balance the attribute system, spell mechanics, and difficulty curve. This helped ensure that every player archetype had a unique but equally valuable role in the team’s journey to restore Grassville.

EDUCATIONAL FOCUS
The 'Greenia' RPG works as a playful learning tool that encourages critical thinking about real-world sustainability. Players are introduced to core concepts such as:
Ecosystem restoration
Renewable energy and green infrastructure
Conflict resolution in environmental disputes
Circular economies and pollution prevention
The social and magical 'cost' of exploiting nature
Through one-shot scenarios like 'The Polluted River', 'The Withered Grove', and 'The Factory Flames', the game invites players to investigate environmental problems, co-create solutions, and reflect on long-term impact — all within a system where collective effort literally brings magic back to the world.
This makes 'Greenia' ideal for classrooms, workshops, or informal learning settings where imagination meets sustainability.
